Whippet Wash was born from a desire to invest in our community. After nearly 20 years in real estate, we saw an opportunity to step into the commercial world by purchasing Tucker Car Wash in July 2024. Originally built in 1966 and run by the Wilman family for over 45 years, it had long been a Shelby staple.

We rebranded to Whippet Wash that fall—combining hometown pride with a fresh vision. The name, dreamed up by Jason’s wife Tiffany, honors our high school mascot and helped us bring Whippet spirit back to the downtown stadium area.

As lifelong Shelby residents and former teammates at Skiles Field, we—Kirk and Jason—take pride in offering a clean, reliable, and affordable wash. Our goal is simple: deliver top-quality service with a hometown touch.

Whippet Wash isn’t just about cars—it’s about community.
